Follow

Problem summary:
GeoInstance nodes don't load or display upstream textures.

This issue affects the 3D Viewer, and when geometry is viewed from a ScanlineRender node.

Customer reported version:
Nuke 14.0v3

Customer reported platform:
N/A

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open Nuke and create a CheckerBoard node in the Node Graph.
2) Create a GeoSphere node, and connect its img input to the CheckerBoard.
3) Create a GeoInstance node, and press the "1" key to view it in the Viewer.
4) Observe the gray sphere, and then disable the GeoInstance node:

Expected behavior:
The GeoInstance node should reference the input geometry without any alterations.

Actual behavior:
Geometry created by the GeoInstance node does not display upstream textures, and is not visible when viewed in a ScanlineRender node, pictured below:

Additionally, many warnings are are printed in the Terminal:
Warning: The relationship target </materials/NukeMaterialOps/CheckerBoard1_NdkSurfaceShader> from </GeoSphere1/Body.material:binding> in layer @anon:0000016CFBE6C160:GeoSphere:edit.usd@ refers to a path outside of the scope of the reference from </GeoSohere1_1>.
