Problem summary
When opening a specific scene file inside of Windows or Linux that was created on macOS, it is imported incorrectly.

Steps to reproduce
1) Download and open the attached scene file inside Modo on macOS. Notice how the mesh appears.
2) Download and open the attached scene file inside of Windows or Linux. Notice how the mesh in imported incorrectly.
Expected behaviour
The scene file should open and appear the same on all supported operating systems.
Actual behaviour
The mesh looks completely different when opened and rendered on either Windows or Linux.
