ID 546886 - Edge Chamfer does not create rounded edges as expected

Problem summary
Edge Chamfer does not create rounded edges as expected.

Steps to reproduce
1) Download attached file and open it in Modo.

2) Select the middle mesh in the scene and enable Edge Selection.

3) Select the top edge of the mesh, then from the Mesh toolbar select the Edge tab.
 
4) Enabled Edge Chamfer and round the edges using the tool handle in the 3D Viewport to observe the results.

 
Expected behavior
The Chamfer Edge should create uniform rounded edges. 

 
Actual behavior
The Chamfer Edge does not create uniform rounded edges. 

 
Workaround
Enabling "Offset along coplanar edge" is a potential work around for some meshes.
