Problem summary Modo crashes when changing a mesh type to a Static mesh when a Vertex-Map-Texture is present

Steps to reproduce
1) Launch Modo and open the attached.lxo file.
2) Right-click on one of the mesh items in the Item List and select
Change Type > Static Mesh.
Expected behaviour
Mesh should be changed to a static mesh without Modo crashing.
Actual behaviour
Modo crashes when converting to Static Mesh.
Workaround
Import as an FBX.
