Problem summary
In specific models hard edges are not respected when there are 5 connecting edges.

Steps to reproduce
 
1. Launch Modo and open the attached scene file.
 
2. Set the 3D Viewport to Reflection.
 
3. Move the camera above the mesh.
 
4. Go to the Vertex Maps tab at the bottom right (If it's not there Right-click one of the tab panes and select Data Lists > Vertex Map Lists).
 
5. Under Other Maps select (new map).
 
6. Change the Vertex Map Type to Vertex Normal Map and select OK.
 
7. Click anywhere inside of the 3D viewport, press Shift + Tab to change it to Catmull-Clark, then press Shift + Tab again to change it back to Face mode.
 
Expected behaviour
The hard edges are respected and the normals are displayed correctly.
 
Actual behaviour
The hard edges are not respected and the normals are displayed incorrectly.
