Camera.adjustClipPlanes() has no effect

Steps to reproduce
1) Open any project
2) Switch to the Perspective view
3) Change the Far clipping plane value to a low number, e.g. 1, so that the Object is no longer rendered
4) Run the following in the Python Console:
mari.canvases.current().camera().adjustClipPlanes()
Expected behaviour
The clipping plane values should be adjusted to contain the geometry.
Actual behaviour
Nothing seems to change, the clipping plane values remain the same.
