Problem summary:
Nuke Studio does not always interpret the FPS of ARRI RAW Alexa 35 footage correctly
Customer reported version:
Nuke Studio 14.0v2
Customer reported platform:
Windows 10
Steps to reproduce:
1) Download the attached 25 FPS Alexa 35 footage and launch Nuke Studio.
2) Navigate to File > Import File(s)... and select the downloaded footage.
3) In the Project Bin, right-click the clip and navigate to Open In > Metadata View.
4) Search for the arri/recording/project_rate/timebase key and compare it to the assigned FPS of the clip, pictured below:
Expected behavior:
Nuke Studio should read the footage at the FPS it was recorded in.
Actual behavior:
Nuke Studio interprets the footage as 24 FPS even though the file's timebase is 25 FPS.
Workaround:
The frame rate can be manually changed by right-clicking on the clip from the Project Bin and selecting the
Set Frame Rate option.
