ID 537010 - Edge Slice creates extra edges

Edge Slice creates extra edges.

Steps to reproduce
1) Download and open the attached file in Modo.
2) In the Item Viewport, select the mesh.
3) Navigate to the Model toolbar, then select the Edit tab.
4) Select Edge Slice, then enable the Multi Slice option.
5) Use Edge Slice across the top of the mesh vertically, holding "Shift" when selecting a new edge to slice. 
6) Observe the mesh once you have finished using Edge Slice.

 
Expected behavior
When using Edge Slice, the only edges created should be the ones created from two selected points.
 
Actual behavior
Extra edges are created on the mesh outside of the selections.
 
Workaround
Unknown.

Unable to reproduce bug in:
Modo 15.2v2 - Windows 11, macOS 12 Monterey
 
Earliest version tested
Modo 15.2v2 - This issue doesn't appear in this version and has regressed.
