Steps to reproduce
1) Download the attached file and open it in Modo.

2) Select the star curve and enable the move tool.

3) Move the shape to intersect with the plane and observe the results.
 
Expected behavior
The plane should alter based on the shape intersecting. 
 
Actual behavior
The shape of the plane does not alter based on the shape until it is fully inside the plane.
