Follow

Problem summary
Display more useful information in error messages when exporting .mov files with the H.264 codec

Customer reported version
Nuke n/a

Customer reported platform
Windows

Steps to reproduce

1) Open Nuke and Create a CheckerBoard node.

2) Open the CheckerBoard nodes properties bin and set the format to 8K_CubeMap.

3) Create a Write node and open the Write node properties bin, set the file to a .mov, make sure the file type is set to .mov and the Codec to H.264 and then Render a few frames.

Expected behaviour
For the Write node to display more useful information in the error message.

Actual behaviour
The Write node displays information regarding reference frames, it would be more useful to have it say that 8K is not supported.

Workaround
Unknown.
