Follow

Problem summary
Using DNxHD files in Studio can cause it to crash

Tested both DNxHD mov and DNxHD .mxf files, the issue happens with both.

Other .mov files, like Prores or H.264 are unaffected

Customer reported version
nuke.14.0v4 hiero.13.2v3

Customer reported platform
centos7

Steps to reproduce

1) Open Nuke Studio

2) File>Import Folder(s)... and import \netshare\support\4Pete\footage\megaVersionsMXF\DNxHD or  \netshare\support\4Pete\footage\megaVersionsMOV\DNxHD (the .mxf files seem to be more unstable)

3) From the imported folders, add one folder different tracks on the timeline:

4) Scrub the timeline, pause/play, toggle the top track on and off, eventually Nuke Studio crashes, normally within a minute or two

Expected behaviour
For Nuke Studio to continue to playback DNxHD files

Actual behaviour
It crashes, normally without the crash report dialog or any message in terminal

Workaround
Unknown.
