Steps to reproduce
1) Download attached file and open it in Modo.
 
2) Navigate to the Render Menu > Render Animation...
 
3) In the Render Animation pop-up, set Save As to "Layered Images" and click the OK button.
 
4) In the Save Image Sequence pop-up, set File Format to "Layered OpenEXR Half 16-bit" and click the Save button.
 
5) Observe how two EXR files will be saved even though "Layered Images" is selected.
 
Expected behavior
Layered 16-bit cryptomatte output should result in one combined file.
 
Actual behavior
Layered 16-bit cryptomatte output results in two separate files.
 
Workaround
Unknown.
