ID 549927 - Vertex Normals do not update as expected

Vertex Normals do not update as expected.

Steps to reproduce
1) Download the attached file and open it in Modo.

2) Change the Default mode to Reflection.

3) Select the mesh in the 3D Viewport, then under the Properties tab, Freeze All and observe the results.
 
Expected behavior
The imported Vertex Normals should update.
 
Actual behavior
The imported Vertex Normals do not update.
 
Workaround
Unknown.
