Steps to reproduce
 
1) Download the attached .py file.

2) Go to the following location:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Luxology\Scripts

3) Create a new folder and name it "lxserv"
 
4) Move the downloaded .py file to this location and launch Modo.
 
Expected behaviour
Channel Modifier .set_hint should be usable without crashing Modo.
 
Actual behaviour
Modo crashes on launch
 
Workaround
In some cases using .chan_set_custom and passing it as an instance of "ChannelUI" could work to provide a dropdown menu in a form.
