Steps to reproduce
 
1) Download the attached file and open it in Modo.

2) Navigate to Render > Open Preview and press the play button.

3) Navigate to Render > Render and compare the two renders.
 
Expected behavior
F9 render should render the underlying surface of fur.
 
Actual behavior
F9 render does not render the underlying surface of fur.
 
Workaround
Unknown.

Unable to reproduce bug in:
Modo 15.2v4 - Windows 11, macOS 11.7 Big Sur

Modo 15.2v4 - This issue doesn't appear in this version and has regressed.
