Bokeh node not able to use back focus correctly

Steps to reproduce
1) Open the attached script which has multiple spheres and a background attached to a simple 3D setup that is connected to a DeepToImage node which is attach to a Bokeh node.
2) View the Bokeh node and the ZDefocus node

Expected behaviour
For the yellow sphere to be slightly out of focus around the whole circumference
Actual behaviour
There are gaps where the yellow sphere is still in focus
Workaround
Apply the defocusing on seperate layers and recombine.
