Problem summary: Incorrect Panels are imported to Flix when Avid Filler Effects also have Transitions
This has been observed with "Fade from Color" and "Fade to Color" Transition Effects, but could occur with other Effects as well.
Customer reported version: Flix 6.6.2
Customer reported platform: N/A
Steps to reproduce: 1) Launch Flix and create a new Sequence Revision. 2) Add a small number of Panels to the Revision and Save:
3) Press the Publish to Editorial button. 4) Open the published Sequence in Avid, and add a new Video Track to the Timeline (Right-click > New > Video Track) 5) Create an Effect Filler, such as Color Mix, above the first Panel on the new Track: 6) Add a Transition Effect, such as Fade from Color, to the Effect Filler (if prompted about insufficient source, select "Size to Fit"). The Avid Timeline should now be similar to the GIF below. 7) Navigate to File > Output > Export to File and export the Timeline to an AAF file, then Import this AAF into Flix. 8) Observe that Panel 2 is missing, and Panel 1 has been imported twice (once without any Effects, and once as a Ref):
Expected behavior: Flix should import Panels beneath Filler Effects that have Transitions as a single Ref Panel, without impacting any other Panels:
Actual behavior: When importing an AAF that contains an Effect and a Transition on a single Filler, Flix imports a Panel before the expected Animated Ref, and also removes a Panel after the Ref.
Workaround: No known workaround at this time.
