Problem summary
With vertices visibility enabled, vertex points stay visible even when hiding polygons.

Steps to reproduce
 

  1. Open Modo.
     
  2. In the create toolbar, under Primitives, hold SHIFT and create a mesh (eg. a sphere).
     
  3. To the top-right of the 3D viewport, open the 3D Viewport Properties menu by selecting the gear icon.

     
  4. Navigate to the Active Meshes tab. In the Display sub-menu, under Show Vertices, select In Component Modes. Exit out of the 3D Viewport Properties menu.
     
  5. Enter Polygon Selection Mode (press 3).
     
  6. Select some faces.

     
  7. With these faces selected, hide the faces (press H). You will see that the polygon faces are hidden, but not the vertices.
 
Expected behaviour
The polygon faces and the vertices are hidden.
 
Actual behaviour
Only the polygon faces are hidden.
