The sRGB2Linear node gives incorrect results

Steps to reproduce
  1. Launch Mari 7 and open any Project.
     
  2. Create any node that outputs image data, such as a Color, Cloud, or Paint node.


     
  3. Create a sRGB2Linear node downstream.
     
  4. Repeat the process in Mari 6, making sure to use the same image data for comparison purposes
 
Expected behaviour
In Mari 6 and all previous versions, the image becomes more contrasty and slightly darker, as expected from the conversion to Linear:
 

 
Actual behaviour
The image becomes much darker and loses contrast:
 

 
Workaround
As an alternative, use the OCIO Colorspace Filter. 
 
  1. Apply it directly to a Paint node by selecting Filters menu > OCIO Colorspace
    Or 
    Create a Bake Point node, bake it, and in its Node Properties select Filters tab > Edit Filters > Add Filter > OCIO Colorspace
     
  2. Use the following settings:

Mari 6.0v3 - This issue doesn't appear in this version and has regressed
