Steps to reproduce
Launch Mari 7 and open any Project.
Create any node that outputs image data, such as a Color, Cloud, or Paint node.
Create a sRGB2Linear node downstream.
Repeat the process in Mari 6, making sure to use the same image data for comparison purposes
Expected behaviour
In Mari 6 and all previous versions, the image becomes more contrasty and slightly darker, as expected from the conversion to Linear:
Actual behaviour
The image becomes much darker and loses contrast:
Workaround
As an alternative, use the OCIO Colorspace Filter.
Apply it directly to a Paint node by selecting Filters menu > OCIO Colorspace
Or
Create a Bake Point node, bake it, and in its Node Properties select Filters tab > Edit Filters > Add Filter > OCIO Colorspace
