Problem summary:
"Invalid LUT" errors occur when Exporting DNxHD/DNxHR files using an ACES OCIO config in Nuke Studio/Hiero
Customer reported version:
Hiero 15.0v4
Customer reported platform:
Rocky 9
Steps to reproduce:
1) Launch Nuke Studio and create a new project.
2) Navigate to Project > Edit Settings > Color Management and change the project's OCIO config from nuke-default to one of the available ACES configs that ship with Nuke.
3) Import some media with File > Import File(s)..., and create a Sequence by dragging the footage to the Timeline Editor.
4) Right-click on the Clip and select the Export... option.
5) Create a copy of the Transcode Shots DPX Export Preset, and change the File Type to mxf in the Content section:
6) Make sure that output transform knob is set to "default"
7) Press the Export button and observe the errors that occur:
[14:46.37] Warning: Could not find value "rec709" for "colorspace". It will be appended to the menu list.[14:46.37] ERROR: Write_mxf: Invalid LUT selected : rec709[14:46.37] ERROR: Write_mxf: C:/path/to/the/exported_file.mxf: Invalid LUT selected : rec709
Expected behavior:
No errors or warnings should occur when Exporting DNxHD/DNxHR files.
Actual behavior:
When using ACES OCIO configs, an Invalid LUT selected : rec709 error appears when Exporting DNxHD/DNxHR MOV or MXF files. This behavior also occurs if the Output Transform's transform type is set to "display" instead of "colorspace", and seems to happen if the Exported media is processed as Shots, Clips, or a Sequence.
Workaround:
No known workaround at this time
