Problem summary:
Versioning is slower while a Sync Session is active
Customer reported version:
Hiero 15.1v1
Customer reported platform:
Rocky 8
Steps to reproduce:
1) Launch Nuke Studio and navigate to File > Import File(s)... to import some footage.
2) Add a Clip to the Timeline, and create a comp by right-clicking and selecting the Create Comp option:
3) Save the project.
4) Navigate to the comp's directory on disk, duplicate the .nk file, and change the "_v01" in the file name to "_v02".
5) Right click the comp container on the Timeline and navigate to Versions > Version Up, noting the speed at which the action processes.
6) Close the project without saving, and then re-open the saved project.
7) Host a Sync Review Session and repeat step 5, observing how the process takes noticeably longer now.
Expected behavior:
Versioning should take the same amount of time whether or not a Sync Session is currently happening.
Actual behavior:
When a Sync Session is active, scanning for versions takes longer to complete.
Workaround:
No known workaround at this time.
