The Bokeh node's Focus Region Size affects its result (only applies to alpha, not the rgb) when using Real World Lens Simulation and Depth Style 1/Z
Customer reported version:
Nuke 14.1v4
Customer reported platform:
CentOS 7
Steps to reproduce:
1) Download the attached example_bokeh.nk script and launch Nuke.
2) Open this script and observe the difference between the Bokeh nodes that have Focus Region Size set to 999 and 1:
Expected behavior:
When Real World Lens Simulation is enabled, a Bokeh node's Focus Region Size value should not impact the resulting image.
Actual behavior:
Although the Focus Region Size knob is disabled when Real World Lens Simulation is enabled (as of Nuke 15.1v1), the value of that knob still affects the image calculation. This only seems to occur if the Bokeh node's Depth Style is 1/Z, or if the Depth Style is Real and an Expression node like the following has been placed before the Bokeh:
Expression { channel0 depth expr0 1/z}
Workaround:
No known workaround at this time.
