Problem summary
Modo crashes when connecting a comment node to a channel modifier created by a custom .py script. The crash occurs when you mouse over the nodes in the schematic viewport; Modo will freeze for a few seconds and then crash.
Customer reported version
Modo 16.1v8
Customer reported platform
Windows 10
Steps to reproduce
1) Download the scene_statics.py file provided by the user. Place this .py file in any lxserv folder Modo reads on start-up. You may need to create an lxserv file; for example, in the following file path: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Luxology\Scripts or /Users/<USER>/Library/Application Support/Luxology/Scripts
2) Launch Modo. Ensure Modo is not launched in safe mode.
3) Open the schematics viewport, and add a channel modifier named py.cmScene.
4) Add a comment node to the schematics viewport.
5) Connect the comment node to any channel output from the py.cmScene node.
6) Move the cursor over the two nodes and the link between them.
Expected behaviour
Modo should not crash.
Actual behaviour
Modo freezes and then crashes.
Workaround
