Steps to reproduce
 
1) Open Nuke

2) Create a CheckerBoard node and attach a Transform node

3) Decrease the scale value in the Transform node, then animate the translate knobs over time
 
4) Create any node, like a Grade node, and connect it to the Transform node
 
5) On one of the knobs, right click>Add Expression...  and set it to bbox.x, and press OK
 
6) Scrub through the timeline, the knob should animate over time
 
7) Right click the knob>Edit>Generate..., leave the Generate Keys values at default and press OK
 
8) The knob will now be locked to a single value, and not animated
 
Expected behaviour
For the generate keys to generate the animated keys for the bbox
 
Actual behaviour
The animation from the bbox expression is ignored:
