ID 595434 - The Management Console's Templates page cannot be accessed if a Show with an non-Latin1 character in its name has been assigned to a Template
Problem summary: The Management Console's Templates page cannot be accessed if a Show with an non-Latin1 character in its name has been assigned to a Template
Customer reported version: Flix 7.1.1
Customer reported platform: macOS 14
Steps to reproduce: 1) Launch the Flix Client and create a New Show 2) Set the Show's title to the following string: It’s Bad 3) Navigate to File > Management Console > Templates 4) Select any of the available Templates and assign it to the "It’s Bad" Show 5) Go to the Flix Home page 6) Navigate to File > Management Console > Templates and observe the error that occurs:
Error: Failed to execute 'btoa' on 'Window': The string to be encoded contains characters outside of the Latin1 range.
Expected behavior: The Contact Sheet Templates page should be accessible regardless of how a Show might be named.
Actual behavior: If a Show has a non-Latin1 character in its title and a Contact Sheet Template is assigned to it, any attempt to open the Management Console's Templates page will immediately produce an error that prevents the user from making any alterations to the page.
Using the Reload or Exit Application options do not resolve the issue.
Workaround: Besides removing the problematic non-Latin1 character from the Show name, there are no known workarounds at this time.
