Problem summary
UsdInVariantSelect does not work with isolatePath parameter in the UsdIn node
Customer reported version
Katana 6.5v6
Customer reported platform
Alma 9
Steps to reproduce
1) In Katana, create a UsdIn node, set the fileName to a .usda file with a variant, and isolate a path from the .usda
2) Create a UsdInVariantSelect downstream of the UsdIn node and set the variant parameters to reflect your imported file.
3) Select the isolated path in the Scene Explorer tab and examine the Attributes tab. Observe the variant not changing to the specified variant.
Expected behaviour
The variant should be accurately reflected on the attributes of the path
Actual behaviour
The variant attribute is not changed regardless of the VariantSelect nodes parameter.
Workaround
A UsdSubLayerAdd node can be used to import the .usda file and a UsdVariantSet node to isolate the desired location, but requires converting native USD to Katana attributes via the UsdToKatana node.
