Problem summary
Hiero/Nuke Studio import OTIO clips with the wrong name
 
They use the first track item name for the clip, rather than the source media name
 
Steps to reproduce
 
1) Open Hiero/Nuke Studio

2) Import any footage and add it to a sequence

3) In the timeline editor, right click the clip>Editorial>Rename Shots... and rename the track item to anything else, Shot0010 for example
 
4) Right click the sequence>Export... and in the Export dialog, Select the Custom tab, Set the Export to Process as Sequence, then Select the OTIO preset and press Export
 
5) Close the open project and making a new one
 
6) Right click the project bin>Import>Import OTIO and select the exported OTIO file
 
Expected behaviour
For the clip in the bin to have the correct name, matching the source media:


 
Actual behaviour
The clip has the name of the first track item to use it instead, and there is no way in the UI to rename it:

Hiero 15.1v1 - Windows 11, macOS Sonoma - regression
 
Unable to reproduce bug in:
Hiero 15.0v8 - Windows 11, macOS Sonoma
 
Earliest version tested
Hiero 15.0v8 - This issue doesn't appear in this version and has regressed
