12 bit 4:4:4 on BlackMagic monitor out hardware shows incorrect output when there is an aspect ratio mismatch between the footage Resolution and the Display Mode in Hiero/Nuke Studio

This happens with both a mismatch between the Clip in the Clip Viewer and the monitor out Display Mode and the Sequence Output resolution and the monitor out Display Mode

 

Steps to reproduce

For a Sequence:

1) Launch Nuke Studio

2) Import any footage and add to the timeline

3) Change to the Viewer Monitor Out workspace

4) Enable Monitor Out and select the BlackMagic monitor out device

5) Set the Pixel format to 12 bit RGB 4:4:4

6) Set the display mode to HD 1920 x 1080 - 24p

7) Change the output resolution of the sequence to one of the options listed below:

  • 720x576 (1.09) PAL
  • 720x576 (1.46) PAL_16:9
  • 1024x778
  • 914x778
  • 2048x1556
  • 1828x1556
  • 4096x3112
  • 3656x3112
     

For a clip:

1) Download the attached .exr file

2) Open Nuke Studio

3) Import the downloaded image and open it in the Clip Viewer

4) Enable Monitor Out and select the BlackMagic monitor out device

5) Set the Pixel format to 12 bit RGB 4:4:4

6) Set the display mode to UHD 3840 x 2160 - 24p

 

Expected behaviour
For the image to output correctly:

 

Actual behaviour
The output image appears badly distorted:

Unknown.
