SUMMARY
Foundry received a report that Microsoft Windows Firewall and Threat Scanner had identified the Mari 7.0v2 Windows installer as malware infected with the Wacatac.B trojan.
MORE INFORMATION
Foundry investigated the report, with the Mari 7 installer being placed under the scrutiny of multiple alternative signature based and also next-gen antivirus tools - all of which found no trace of the Wacatac.B trojan, or any other malware.
As such we are confident this finding is a false positive.
We would invite any customers who have observed this result with Microsoft Windows Firewall and Threat to also scan using other tools - such as ClamAV, Malwarebytes or HitmanPro - to self certify this finding as a false positive.
