Q100725: Security Announcement - The Nuke 16 Windows installer is being incorrectly flagged by antivirus software

SUMMARY

Foundry has received reports that various antivirus software have identified the Nuke 16 Windows installers as malware. In some cases this prevented Nuke from being installed on the machine or automatically removed the .exe file which caused the installation to fail.

MORE INFORMATION

Foundry investigated these reports individually by placing the Nuke 16 installers under the scrutiny of multiple alternative signature based and also next-gen antivirus tools - all of which found no trace of a virus, or any other malware.

As such we are confident these findings are a false positive.

We would invite any customers who have observed similar results with their antivirus software, to also scan using other tools - such as ClamAV, Malwarebytes or HitmanPro - to self certify their finding as a false positive.
